Update for Ryan

Hey babe...hope you are having fun! The kids want to know if you have been finding all of there hidden notes in your suitcase? Post a note to them when you read this, they have already checked the blog today to see if you left them a note. Here is your update on the madness at home...I sure you are missing us tons by now, right?

Thursday the usual off to school, typing, naps, picked up house, laundry, home from school, tutoring, homework, tennis lessons, drop off and pick up friends, Subway for dinner (already to tired to cook and its only been one day), pinewood derby weigh in, Riley to highland game, girls to bed (sort of), stayed up to late typing and then watching Grey's, which was a rerun but I decided to stay up until midnight watching House since I was already on the couch...whatever I regretted that decision come Friday morning.

Friday...overslept, missed scripture study, only two kids got showers, dropped Riley and Paige off at school early to take AR tests to find out that the library was closed, came home made lunches, took Hayley to school, typed, Sadie took nap, picked up Panda Express for Hayley, met Hayley at the Riparian for lunch for her field trip, picked up JoeBro shirts for the girls, nap for Sadie, typed, kids home from school with a few friends, made snack, picked up disaster from kids being home 15 minutes, packed up Riley for baseball tryouts, dropped off boys at Goodman's, went to JoeBros 3D Movie (it was so fun!), went to dinner, went to baseball try-outs (which started 45 minutes late), the girls were buggy, Sadie was tired, went to Sonic and grabbed Riley dinner apparently he had not eaten dinner yet, Riley did great, came home, put Sadie to bed finally she was over all the fun for today, found Hayley's soccer outfit shoved in a backpack with a huge stain on the front and her pictures are at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow morning, washed Hayley's soccer uniform, put everyone to bed, picked up house, updated blog and now I am going to bed.....

Tomorrow should be just as exciting soccer pictures at 7:45, soccer game at 8:30, Saturday jobs and then I am taking a nap. We might try to hit one of Alex's baseball games in the afternoon and go see grandma's new puppies. You know the drill for Sunday...except I get to do it alone :-(, who is going to serve me breakfast in bed and draw my warm bath in the morning? (I am so funny....are you laughing right now, just kidding babe we will miss your biscuits and gravy :-)).

By 9 o'clock when we finally got home, this is what Sadie looked like in her car seat...she is so funny and such a trooper, we love you bezzy! BTW-I tired to take some pics of Riley at tryouts but nothing turned out, it was to dark sorry. He did great though especially hitting. We love you, hope you are having fun and staying warm.

Jonas Brothers 3D concert movie experience

Chick-fil-A
Dang, we should have gotten JoeBro shirts
Popcorn anyone?
Nice backpack kaka
This is what she did the entire movie, it was great!

Me and my girls
Got to have at least one horrible close up face picture right?
Poser!

All I have to say is "I LOVE THE JONAS BROTHERS"! Yea baby! We had so much fun on our girls night out. Steph, Mackenzie, Kaelie, me, Paige, Hayley and Sadie all went to the 4:45 showing of Joebros 3D concert experience at San Tan Harkins. We bought the girls matching shirts and they looked so cute! The theater was full of screaming girls and let me say I know what all the hype is about now....although they could use a visit from "What not to wear" they are cute and there songs are great too. Sadie spent the entire movie eating popcorn off the ground and climbing up and down the stairs and she would scream everytime the girls started screaming which was about every five minutes. We all ate dinner together after...all in all it was a great night, the girls had fun and so did I.

Pinewood Derby 2009

Yes! We finally made 5 ounces
Uh oh...we are short 0.2 ounces
The "Black Knight".

Another year, another pinewood derby car. This year we have some experience under our belt and we started earlier. From last year's experience I think we figured out that starting a day before it was due was probably not the best idea. So we started early, bought cool accessories from Hobby Lobby and with some good old fashion father son bonding time Ryan and Riley made this awesome truck. Riley choose a "trophy truck" style and they used one of Riley's old toy sandrails and trophy trucks for some cool accessories and then they drilled in the back for the weight and left them sticking out a bit to look like lights. For the final weigh in Riley could not decide on a name...I wanted to name it BOR (Bond's offroad racing), Riley thought of Race killer and about 100 other variations but when under the gun he took the suggestion of the scout master of "Black Knight". We passed all the specs except for weight...and since Ryan was out of town I had to make an executive decision...we need 0.2 ounces so I decided to glue on the back a weight that I think looks like a license plate and we made the weight. Hopefully they made a winner this time and even if "Black Knight" doesn't win any races he sure looks like a winner.

Cousins

Today Steph had to take Jackson to the doctor and I got to watch Brynlie...she is so cute with Sadie. It reminded me of when our older girls were this age and played together. They were up on my bed watching Disney Channel and were laughing so hard so I grabed a couple of pictures of them. Brynlie loves Sadie so much and is always trying to help her, they are so cute together...and wow, can't tell they are cousins can you.

Birthday shout out!

I just wanted to give all of my great friends a shout out....I am not sure I am as good of a friend as you all are to me but I sure hope I can be (this is a work in progress). Who knew I had this many friends....I love it! I got email birthday messages, voicemail, text message, my favorite facebook notes, phone calls, breakfast with friends, lunch with friends, flowers, balloons, slim jims, black and white chippers, lots of other fun presents, blog comments and both of my parents gave me very sweet sentimental cards.....who knew that 31 years old would make me feel so great....I have always dreaded getting older, wrinkles, flabby skin, kids being embarrassed of you, blah, blah blah but after this week I can't wait to get another year older. Thanks again to all of my wonderful friends, you guys are the best!

Blog update...

Okay-lately I feel like this is another thing on my to-do list that I keep moving to the next day. I used to enjoy this so much and blog-stocking all of my friends but lately I can't seem to find the time to do anything. I read a friends blog recently that said this is how we remember the good and the bad...this is what reminds us to take a picture when are kids make a mess and makes laugh about it. This is so true...my kids love to look at our blog book and laugh and remember the the last year of your life....so I am recommitting myself to documenting my life good or bad, funny or boring! My family is the most important thing in my life and this blog helps me document that, its also proof that I am not the meanest mom in the entire world contrary to popular belief :-) Okay....that is my soap box for today.

Paige's baptism

This was such an amazing day for our Paiger! She has been looking forward to this for weeks. Ryan baptised Paige on Valentine's day. She got her own set of scriptures with her name on the front and was very proud. She looked so pretty in her white dress. This was such a special day, we love you Paige and are so proud of you!
