Sadie's Birthday extravaganza!!

h

I am pretty sure this glurr (who recently learned to say girl the right way) celebrated her birthday for an entire week if not longer. She had a party for playgroup where they made valentine's wreath's and decorated their own cupcakes....so yummy! They opened presents, played dogs and she pretty much thought it was the best birthday every!!! I love when they are this age...so easy to please. For her actual birthday we went out to eat and came home and ate the yummiest ice cream cake....thank you DQ for making it so easy on me. Happy 4th Birthday Sadie! We love you glurr!

Playgroup

The final projects waiting for the moms to pick up.

A few girls playing dogs....they were barking too!

Hope and Tatum

Sadie is in a playgroup with 8 of her closest 3-year-old friends...its so cute and fun for the girls! This week was our week to host and we invited our cousin Tatum. We made red and green wreaths, ate PB&J sandwiches and apples, played house, played outback on the tramp and even decorated cookies...not too many of those made it home :-) I am super grateful for great friends who are willing to do this play group...I think its great for all of the girls!

Preschool Field Trip

Hope, Holland and Sadie

Hay ride

Cute little turkey!

Today Sadie's preschool went on a field trip to Mother Nature's Farm...They had a super fun punkin patch where the kids got to pick there very own pumkin and sticker it (way better than the paint last year). We went on a hayride, went on they straw maze, jumped on the jumpers, fed the pigs and packed a lunch...for some reason Sadie was so excited to pack her lunch. I think she sees the big kids everyday take their lunch she felt big too! Nix was a trooper on the field trip.

Sadie and the dentist

For such a little girl she sure has a big mouth....hee hee! Just teasing Sader B, anyway Sadie has had a cracked took for over a year, but it was causing no issues so we just left it alone. Lately she has been complaining so we took her to the dentist to find out that half of the took was hanging on by a thread (which aunt Stephanie pulled out one day when she was checking it out) and the other half of the took was abscessed and infected. So we needed to pull it and get a spacer made. So we tried oral sedation....where she got a little cocktail to drink...waited for 2 hours, finally fell asleep after she had diarrhea and threw up on me. They called her state "conscious sedation" whatever that means....I felt horrible for her, she was super out of it and they kept trying to do x-rays and she was having no part of it...so after 3.5 hours they gave up and told us she would need to get put to sleep. The dentist (Dr. Quackenbush) told me she would probably sleep the rest of the day, but when we got in the car she started yelling SHUT UP, in every form and variation she could think of at the top of her lungs....shut up right now, you shut up, shut up your mouth, et cetera....I have to admit it was pretty comical, if only there was someone else to witness it! So a month later we came back, they put her to sleep, pulled the tooth, cleaned out the abscess and made a spacer to hold the spot until her 10-year-old molar comes in. I took the pic while I was waiting for her to wake up. She looks so sad, but feels much better now.

Preschool Zoo Trip

First pic before everybody wanted out of the stroller

Sadie and Mrs. Shari

Sadie and her friend Holland

Zoo Trip...
Sadie goes to a little preschool class once a week with a good friend of mine Shari....this week Shari set up a zoo trip for all the kids and it was super fun. I have to admit, the zoo is not my favorite place and it has been years since I have been, but Sadie really enjoyed it. Steph took Jackson and Brynlie and I brought Sadie we stayed for a couple hours and hit the playground at BK for lunch on the way home. The petting zoo was pretty funny....some of the kids were all about brushing the goats, but Sadie was a little bit timid...she gave each goat about 1 second of brushing before she ran away and I am pretty sure the highlight of the petting zoo was washing their hands after in the kid sized sinks! All in all a super fun experience for all

It was so fun, we had mickey mouse ears for lunch, yummy cup cakes and more fun than should be allowed!

Preschool

So my super good friend Shari Goodman...who happens to be an amazing mom is doing a 1 day a week preschool/early school class for 2.5 year old. She will be working on songs, circle time, centers, manners, cleaning up and sharing. Its $35 a month for one day a week for 2 hours. I was so excited for her to go today and she left my arms like no body's business, "see ya mom" she said as she ran away to Mrs. Sharri's door. When I picked her up I asked her what she did at Mrs. Sharri's today and she repeated every phrase Sherri said....it was freckin hysterical. "Be nice. Sit on your carpet. Clean up. Come out of the bathroom. Sit in your chair." It was laughing out loud in the car, she basically repeated everything Shari was telling all the kids to do and she loved every minute of, the next morning she woke up asking if she could go to Mrs. Shari's today.

Play Group

Kelly playing the drums

Snack time

A few girls riding bikes

Happy Molly on the swings

Play Group:
So a couple ladies in my ward/neighborhood put together this amazing play group with 6 little girls all ages 2.5-3 years old. You drop your daughter off at the designated house from 9-11:30 (2.5 hours awesome right) and then you hold playgroup once every 6 weeks....and even better its FREE! I can't think of anything better Sadie gets to play with some super great friends, gets away from me for 2.5 hours and I can run errands guilt free and it doesn't cost me a dime. What a great idea. So we held the first play group....and this was our schedule

9-9:30 backyard time
9:30-10 play-doh
10-10:15 clean up
10:15-10:45 snack time
10:45-11 Handy Manny on Disney Channel
11-11:30 backyard/trampoline time
It was so fun and super easy as with that many girls they totally entertained themselves. I think she may have even found a new BFF. It is hysterical to listen to the conversations that 2.5 year olds have, I love it. I am so glad that we are doing this play group!

Sadie 1st hair cut

This is always such a sad day, when you have to get your baby their first hair cut. I am not really sure why this is so sad as she seriously had a mullet and it was almost embarrassing it was so crazy looking but once you get them that first haircut they don't look like babies anymore. So sad day for me, for sure but she looks super cute. Thanks Sara! My little baby is growing up. She did so good, she said still and let Sara cut her mullet off with no tears or wiggles...good job Sadie girl!

I am a big girl now!

ep i

For the last couple of months Sadie absolutely refuses to sleep in her crib. At the beginning we would put her in her crib and she would just climb out...she never actually came out of the room but we would find her asleep on the chair or randomly on the floor and would try to put her back in her bed but would come back in the morning and she would be back on the floor asleep. So we decided to make her a pallet on the floor until we could find her a bed. It is so sad...I love my nursery and I am not ready for my barely 2-year-old to be big enough to get into a bed but apparently she is.....In addition she has pretty much potty trained herself in the last couple months. It started off with her constantly taking off her clothes and being naked and then she started telling me "pee pee". Wow...I am so not ready for this. Over the last month she has pretty much potty trained her self and now we fully potty trained at the age of 2 years 3 months. Why is this so sad for me...You are amazing Sader B and we love you!

Swim lessons

Asleep in the car after swim lessons

Why is that whenever I want to take a picture all I have in my purse is my camera phone....so annoying. So of course these were the only two usable pictures that I took. Anyway Sadie is taking swim lessons from Mrs. Celeste and loving every minute of it...it is so funny to see that little body swiming around. If you ask her about swim lessons she says I am going to "kick, kick, kick"...she is so cute! She absolutely hates putting her face in the water, Celeste has to force her face in the water every time.

Play-doh

Sweet headband...think she is on her way to workout, hee hee

After the kids left for school this morning Sadie was standing at the pantry yelling Play-doh over and over...I opened it up and got it from the top shelf (by kid 4 I have learned where to keep the messy stuff). I got it out on at the kitchen table....and she sat there for a good hour....I am pretty sure none of the rest of my kids ever did this, it was hysterical. She so excited. She was sporting a bright blue head band she found in Paige's bathroom that she put on herself. She is so independent at 2 and is still willing to let me take her picture....love you Sadie!

Cousins

All smiles....

Brynlie and Sadie are such great friends...it is great to have family close by and to let our kids grow up together. Every time we pull into the Bond's neighborhood Sadie knows where we are going and will yell Brynlie's name over and over....it is so cute. Go greatful for family!
