Nixon Nate Bond

First ride in his car seat!

He is finally here....and he is absolutely perfect!

Weight: 6 pounds
Length: 19 inches

He was born on Tuesday April 26, 2011 at 3:15 p.m. This guy was in for the long haul, all of the other kids were here by 37-38 weeks, but this guy waited until 39 (I think he was scared of the chaos he was coming into, hee hee). On Tuesday morning my water broke at home, with no contractions (thank you baby boy!). I did all my house work, made beds, did laundry, got Sadie off to a friends house and chilled for a couple of hours. Around 11:30 I called Ryan and told him I was going to go to the hospital still no contractions, drove myself there and he met me about 30 minutes later. Dilated to a 3 and still no contractions and running out of time Dr. Beck decided to start the pitocin to get things going. He left and went to the office and we were admitted....he called back about 30 minutes later and said to hold off on the pitocin as he was having car trouble. Bummer right...I was ready to go and did not want this to take all day! Anyway around 1:30 they started the pitocin, about 2:30 I got my epidural (which was so awesome!) and by 3:15 our guy was here! Easy labor and easy birth as he was only 6 pounds and he is absolutely amazing! All the kids came up to visit him and of course they think he is amazing!

Sadie and the dentist

For such a little girl she sure has a big mouth....hee hee! Just teasing Sader B, anyway Sadie has had a cracked took for over a year, but it was causing no issues so we just left it alone. Lately she has been complaining so we took her to the dentist to find out that half of the took was hanging on by a thread (which aunt Stephanie pulled out one day when she was checking it out) and the other half of the took was abscessed and infected. So we needed to pull it and get a spacer made. So we tried oral sedation....where she got a little cocktail to drink...waited for 2 hours, finally fell asleep after she had diarrhea and threw up on me. They called her state "conscious sedation" whatever that means....I felt horrible for her, she was super out of it and they kept trying to do x-rays and she was having no part of it...so after 3.5 hours they gave up and told us she would need to get put to sleep. The dentist (Dr. Quackenbush) told me she would probably sleep the rest of the day, but when we got in the car she started yelling SHUT UP, in every form and variation she could think of at the top of her lungs....shut up right now, you shut up, shut up your mouth, et cetera....I have to admit it was pretty comical, if only there was someone else to witness it! So a month later we came back, they put her to sleep, pulled the tooth, cleaned out the abscess and made a spacer to hold the spot until her 10-year-old molar comes in. I took the pic while I was waiting for her to wake up. She looks so sad, but feels much better now.

Girls Softball

Both girls signed up for softball this season...not sure why we agreed I think we are crazy with 4 kids in activities with practices and games and a new baby to arrive any day. Anyway they loved it and with a little car pool action we were able to make it work. This was Hayley's first season of softball and she did awesome...she tried all season for a hit and finally the second to last game she got 2 hits in 1 game....way to go Hayley!

This is Paige's second season of softball and she played on a team with Kaelie. They played a McQueen park and it was kid pitch. Both girls got the opportunity to pitch and loved it!

We also took some random pics of the other bonds at the games...I am sure Steph will thank Ryan later for the side profile pic (sorry steph) and not really sure what happened to all the pictures of Paige, but couldn't find any :-(

Sadie and the cracked tooth...

i
Sadie and the cracked tooth...sounds like a kids story book right, nope just our life! Sadie has had a cracked molar for over a year but it was perfectly fine, not bothering her and stuck in place. The dentist was not worried about it until it came loose. She got an abscess and it got infected. So we went back to the dentist where he told us it had to come out and they were going to have to make a spacer to fill the spot until her adult tooth came in. There were 2 options, conscious sedation which entailed her drinking a little cocktail and falling asleep but she was still conscious and could respond to commands or putting her fully to sleep with an anesthesiologist in office so they could do the work. We opted for the the conscious sedation.....which turned out to be a disaster. We showed up this morning, she drank the little cocktail and then puked everywhere, after about an hour she finally fell asleep but as soon as they started to get the x-rays she freaked out. I felt so bad for her, it was horrible. She is so sleep she can barely keep her eyes open and they are totally messing with mouth and she couldn't take it. After another hour we gave up and she was a wreck. When I finally got her to the car she was screaming every variation of "shut up" she could think of...."shut up your mouth mom, no you shut up, now, right now shut up"....I think this lasted 5 minutes straight of her yelling at the top of her lungs, it was kind of funny but I felt really bad for her. Once she stopped I turned back to see what she was doing and she was completely passed out. She was a mess the rest of the day....I felt really bad for her and no we get to go back in a few weeks and do it again, this time she will really be under. I took this pic of her in her car seat when she finally fell asleep, so cute but so sad.

Preschool Zoo Trip

First pic before everybody wanted out of the stroller

Sadie and Mrs. Shari

Sadie and her friend Holland

Zoo Trip...
Sadie goes to a little preschool class once a week with a good friend of mine Shari....this week Shari set up a zoo trip for all the kids and it was super fun. I have to admit, the zoo is not my favorite place and it has been years since I have been, but Sadie really enjoyed it. Steph took Jackson and Brynlie and I brought Sadie we stayed for a couple hours and hit the playground at BK for lunch on the way home. The petting zoo was pretty funny....some of the kids were all about brushing the goats, but Sadie was a little bit timid...she gave each goat about 1 second of brushing before she ran away and I am pretty sure the highlight of the petting zoo was washing their hands after in the kid sized sinks! All in all a super fun experience for all

Family Time....

Today after church we loaded up our bikes and headed to Scottsdale to Indian Bend Wash...this is totally something I used to do as a kid with my dad, we would rent roller blades and roller blade up and down the wash.

We rode a few miles to a park, played for a while and then headed back....on the way we stopped at a Sonic that had an inside eating area with phones at each table. The kids thought it was so great...so we let them call in their own orders! It was super fun and we even stopped by the RC track and watched a few races for the boys! BTW - took these pics with my phone so not the greatest quality, but captured a memory!
