It's been a while....

Okay - I know it has been a while since my last posting. Riley and Paige were playing with my camera and dropped with the lens open and it broke. I sent it in for repair and finally have it back so let the updating begin!

Poor Paige

Ryan took Hayley to the mall on Saturday to spend some of her Christmas money and to have a little one on one time. After they left Paige freaked out. She was so mad at me (not really sure why) she was yelling and screaming and then I thought she had finally calmed down until I found this....posted in my entry way as you walk in the front door. Nice, real nice. I found her under her bed with 3 baskets in front of her so it looked like no one was under her bed. I am glad she is able to express her feelings we just need to find a more constructive way to do. I put things like this in my scrapbook because life is not always this amazing adventure...from day to day we all have bad days and I wish I had something to relate to when I have these days from my parents experiences raising children. Anyway....we love you pieces Pager and you will get to have one on one time wiht daddy too!

Sadie's 1st Birthday!

My horse...she can get on and off by herself.
Okay, not my best cooking performance but she just made a mess anyway!
I love my swing.
It's a baby
Sadie opening presents.
I like to eat...yummy!
Wow...where has the time gone? My sweet little Sader b who refused to eat at birth and got down to a mere 5.5 pounds is now an eating machine...you can't stop her! And don't even think about getting a snack and not sharing with her...not going to happen. She is so cute. She is walking around everywhere and trying to run. She knows how to wave, make fish lips, Ryan thinks she can say dada (I don't really think that is what she is saying). The loves to swing in the swing out back. She has climbed up on the second stair of the trampoline...scary and about a week ago she climbed up on top of the little tykes tabled and jumped/feel off in the rocks. She got some nice scratches on her head. This girl is crazy. She absolutely loves to be in the backyard. She stands at the door until someone lets her out and then she just walks around trying to eat rocks. So stinking cute out there just exploring!
Stats at 1-year:
Weight: 19 lbs 6 oz.
Length: 30.25 inches tall
Head: 17 inches

We had a family over for her pizza for her birthday! I made her a heart shaped mini cake and she loved it. She got some Pedi Ped shoes, a horse and a bunch of other totally fun toys.

Flu shot...whatever

Well I think it is safe to say we are finally over the flu....hooray! Sadie started it last Tuesday throwing up and having diarrhea. She was the only one who got a flu shot this year and she was the first one to get sick, whatever! My poor little 16 pound muffin head started throwing up at 6:30 a.m. and didn't stop until 6 p.m. that night. It was so sad. Wednesday Riley came home school mid day throwing up but was fine that night. I woke up Thursday totally sick and in bed all day. Friday morning Hayley woke up having diarrhea and throwing up all day long...all day! She could not stop getting sick. I felt horrible for her. At around 4 Riley called from a friends needing a ride home because he was throwing up and then by 10 o'clock all three kids were throwing up (literally at the same time in bowls) and Ryan was saying with his face in his shirt from the smell "sorry I can't deal with throw up"....ahhh. Are you kidding me, do you think its my favorite thing to do, whatever! He got sick on Sunday and I disinfected my entire house.
We have all been healthy for 4 days now so hopefully it is finally over.

New Year's

Happy 2009! We went with the Steven's to their cabin for New Year's and took the kids snowboarding. Riley is amazing...I was so impressed at his skills, he hit a couple rails in the snowboard park like a professional 9-year-old. You are awesome Riley Bug! Paige took a half day lesson and had a good time. After lesson we all ate lunch together and then decided to go to midway on the 4-man lift (Ryan's idea, bad one). Paige freaked out the moment we got off the chair lift. Apparently she only learned how to flip over with her board on and stand up...not snowboard. It took us about an hour to get down...she was crying, Ryan was completely annoyed with all of us and Riley kept saying can I just meet you at the bottom! After that Paige and I stayed on the bunny hill the rest of the day and she did great. She did unfortunately take out some guy on skis at the bottom of the bunny hill but we apologized and I don't thing there was any long term damage. I of course forgot my camera so when I get more pictures I will post them. These pictures are from my camera phone so they are not the greatest!

How cute are you all bundled up!

Riley coming off the rail...why is the sun in this darn picture?

Happy New Year! - Thanks Becky for the party favors.

Thanks to my husband for this lame picture...I am not very good at snowboarding.

Who left the pantry door open?

Fruit loops anyone? Sadie is at such a fun age...her favorite things to do these days are eat Shelby's food and get stuff out of the pantry she is not supposed to. She will randomly just stand up where ever she is playing and has been taking a step or two. It won't be long and dumping cereal will be the least of my worries!

NO MORE NAIL POLISH!

This child of mine .....oh my gosh! Paige came into my office while I was working and asked if she could paint her nails...obviously I said no because I was working but maybe later I told her. I have a box of nail polish on the second shelf in the cabinets above my washer in the laundry room. In order to get these down you would have to get a chair, get on top of the washer and reach up to the second shelf, which apparently she did. I heard some noise in the laundry room so I got up from my desk and as I rounded the corner to the laundry room she was coming out with the hot pink nail polish. I apparently scared her and she dropped it. The bottle scattered and went everywhere...walls, baseboards, grout, tile, etc. As I went to get the nail polish remover she got a paper towel and tried to clean it up and it just smeared and stuck to every crack and crevice. It took a entire bottle of nail polish remover to get it off the floor and I could not get it off the wall.
