For the last few years the Wright's have invited us over for their yearly nativity celebration...There is always yummy food, great conversations and of course the long awaited nativity. We are so lucky to have such amazing friends! With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays its great to have this night to remind us what we are really celebrating!

Christmas Tree Adventures

p
Well its no secret that going to get a fresh Christmas Tree is one of our families favorite traditions (started by Ryan and he will not compromise). We headed out on our journey and went to the place we usually buy our tree when its all said and done, but we have to visit at least 3-4 places to make sure its the right one, but they did not have anything up to Ryan's standards so we then hit 2 more spots and ended up at Higley and Guadalupe to a new spot where I found what I thought was "the one". First of all it was $60 cheaper than the one Ryan wanted so that alone made it perfect in my eyes, after some voting and contemplating we agreed to buy the tree. We got home and I was informed that I was never aloud to pick out the tree again, because although it was a "great price" it was not perfect....it had a rather large hole on one side and the branches were cut up to high (more room for presents right?). Anyway no before pics or on the hunt pics like we normally have due to no camera but his is the finished product. One of my favorite traditions of Christmas time is wrapping. I love to get fun matching paper with lots of ribbon and bows and spend hours making them look perfect. Merry Christmas to all.

Christmas Card 2010

I love having a Christmas card every year...As a child I can remember going to my grandma Roberts house on Christmas Eve every year and she had this huge bulletin board of Christmas cards she would send out to friends and family from when my mom was a baby until just a few years ago with everyone including great grandchildren. We spent hours looking at how everyone had grown up, funny styles, horrible matching outfits and I absolutely loved it! So even though my family hates doing it, and we do not always get professional pics taken, at least we have a card....and this year we announced our new baby coming April of 2011.

What in the HECK....

Okay for those of you who have seen me recently....no my husband has not started beating me, I think I just have to many darn kids. Last Sunday while minding my own business taking an afternoon nap after church I got hit with a shoe in the eye. This was not just any old flip flop, it was a wedge church shoe. So the girls (the big girls) were apparently fighting, they chased each other down into my room where one grabbed a shoe to chuck at the other who then ducked and I got a hit full force to my eye with a wedge church heel while dead asleep. Yes all of my children are still alive I did not kill anyone after this event, I was in to much pain....the girls ran to get Ryan and I laid in the fetal position on my bed. When he came to check on me my face was swollen up and the girls felt horrible. Over the course of the next few days as the swelling subsided (barely) my eye started to turn a hideous color of black and blue and then I had a yellow/greenish jaundice look down the side of my face as the bruising healed up. This pictures I took myself of my eye on about day 3 but as of day 16 I still have a minor black eye. I cannot stress how freakin painful a hit to the cheek bone is....WOW who knew! Anyway hopefully now there will be no more shoe throwing at the Bond house.

Highland Hawks Cheer Camp

The Highland Hawks Varsity Cheer Squad did a cheer camp for the local girls. The girls learned a cheer, tons of cheer moves, jumps and a little dance. They got to show off all their skills at the varsity football game Thursday night. It was so cute, they did a great job. They did 2-3 different cheers and then even got to do a paramid. The funniest part was that all week they were practicing at home and Sadie totally learned one of the cheers, which was super cute.

Girls Trip

So its been a minute since I left my family for any amount of time 4 years to be exact and Shari and Kelly (Shari's sis-in-law) invited me to California for a few days. It was so fun to not have to worry about anything....literally, I packed some clothes and we headed to the beach for 4 days. We drove up to Santa Barbara for a day and rented bikes and walked around in all the shops, we relaxed on the beach and most importantly we slept! It was super fun but the best part I have to say was calling home each night and hearing Ryan's stores....every night I was so happy I came and that he got just a little taste of what it was like to be me. The first night his tone was super annoyed and when I asked him what was wrong his reply was this "I just sat down for the first time and its 9!" Hee hee, oh poor baby! It was pretty funny hearing his stores about getting to games on time and carpool practices, etc. I so apprecaited everything he did but was kind of happy he struggled a bit, made me feel like its not as easy as he thought was going to be...I came home to 5 days with of laundry and a messy house but it was so worth it!
