Get-away
For mother's day weekend Ryan took me up the JW Marriott up in Scottsdale and it was so relaxing....we slept in, laid out by the pool, went out to dinner and even went country dancing one night....I know what you are thinking, dancing with all of our coordination but we used to be kind of good at it (shocking I know)! It was so fun! On Sunday Ryan went and picked up the kids and brought them up to the hotel to swim and hang out....I think this has to be a tradition, we went overnight somewhere last year for mother's day but the weekend was perfect...I am hooked, just what every mom needs on mother's day a break long enough to relax but not enough time to miss the chaos! No picutres from the weekend...I know again shocking, me forgetting my camera that never happens, hee hee

70's, 80's and 90's Suprise Party
Our friend Jimmy threw a surprise party for his wife's 30th birthday. The theme was 70's, 80's and 90's. They had trivia, games, name that tune and food, food and more food. It was so fun and the costumes were so hysterical. Ryan and I went to Goodwill and got great outfits for under $20. Ryan went for casual 90's (tight jean shorts and an class of 96 ringer tee. He also got some low top white reebok with the thick soles and wrote I love Tricia, it was so high school I love ite!) and I went for totally 80's spandex and a side pony. The costumes ranged from punk 80's to Jane Fonda, mullets, etc....it was so fun! Jimmy did a great job organizing and we all had a lot of fun.

Brothers!
I love how close Ryan is with his brothers! I hope our kids are this close as they get older and are friends not just because they are family but because they truly enjoy each other. Tonight Ryan's two brothers were over late into the night working on the stereo in the boat. They must have sat out there for 3 hours...taking turns working on whatever it was they were working on...teasing each other the entire time, laughing and talking about life. This is what makes me want to have more kids...these friendships are forever!

Happy 31st Birthday Ryan!
Today his my mans birthday! He is 31-years-old today and looking hotter than the day I married him. We have been married for 10 years next month and been together for close to 15 years and he is still me very best friend. I was going to make a list of 31 reasons why I love this guy but I don't want anyone to be jealous! :-)I am so grateful for all he does for us and more now than ever I am grateful for his ability to pick up my slack. He does it with such ease and still makes me feel like a million bucks! You are truly my inspiration and I love you with all my heart! Happy birthday!

Mom in the kitchen
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a disaster in the kitchen...I forget ingredients, cook things to long and can think of nothing worse than going grocery shopping. This afternoon I was making a cake (actually the second one for the day, because I left the first one in to long you can guess what happened to it :-)). The timer went off for this second cake and I went to pull it out and Paige came out of her room and asked who was in time out ( I typically use my oven timer for time out)? Is this funny or sad....Paige only knows the timer for time out and not for cooking things.
I started to laugh but was kind of sad too...it is great how brutally honest our kids are, it reminded me that I need to be teaching my kids everything I can and not just the things I know how to do or enjoy doing, everything I can.

Kenny Chesney
Ryan and I went to Kenny Chesney on Saturday night....it was so fun! It was at Cardinals stadium in Glendale....huge, there were so many people there. Keith Urban opened up for him and he was great! We had a great time. The girls got to go to Grandma Patsy's and Tatas for the afternoon and they had so much. Riley was at scout camp and he had a great time as well.
