Grinders

After football Riley joined back up with he Grinders, the day before his first tournament he broke his collar bone snowboarding....so he took 7 weeks off and is back at it. He is playing AA on the Green team and loving every minute of it! Nix got to come along for a few games today and was pretty into it as well....maybe he is a future catcher like his big brother.

Durango, CO

We decided to take a well needed break....and found an amazing deal at Durango Mountain Resort. Let me just start off by saying its been years 5 to be exact since i have strapped on a snowboard....I was not really that good then and have had a few kids and gained a few pounds since then so I was a little apprehensive to give the go ahead on this trip, but the thought of spending 4 days by myself with my man sounded amazing and it was more than amazing. Yummy dinners, sleeping in, the view from my bed each morning was so beautiful! All the stress of babysitters for the kids, their game schedules, and my anxiety of living 5 kids for someone else to deal with was totally worth it! Thanks to my mom and dad for each taking a night and day of driving my rug-rats around I can't tell you how much I appreciated it! Any I snowboarded better than I ever had....heel and toe side who knew!!!

Paige's Birthday Suprise

Nix might have enjoyed Paige's cake more than anyone!

Even the little kids loved just dance

Just a few of Paige's peps

Paige had pretty much the most amazing birthday ever....at least I think so!! I picked her up early from school, we grabbed lunch, hit the mall for a few hours where she snagged a bunch of clothes and accessories. On our way home she got her hair cut. She arrived home to SURPRISE PARTY....yea baby, I had decorated the house with balloons and streamers and invited all her peps over to surprise her. It was so much fun. When we walked up to the door and all the kids yelled surprise, so got so scared she started running away, it was pretty funny! We played just dance on the WII, everyone brought take out of their own choice and what did we eat for dessert....another ice cream cake of course! Thanks again DQ!

Sadie's Birthday extravaganza!!

h

I am pretty sure this glurr (who recently learned to say girl the right way) celebrated her birthday for an entire week if not longer. She had a party for playgroup where they made valentine's wreath's and decorated their own cupcakes....so yummy! They opened presents, played dogs and she pretty much thought it was the best birthday every!!! I love when they are this age...so easy to please. For her actual birthday we went out to eat and came home and ate the yummiest ice cream cake....thank you DQ for making it so easy on me. Happy 4th Birthday Sadie! We love you glurr!

The Dunes

Dirty Baby

f

We took a little family vacation camping at the Dunes over the winter break....its been a few years since I have braved the dunes and it was a lot of fun. We borrowed Papa Bob's toy hauler and a Razor and we were off on another adventure! The accommodations were a little tight for 7 of us but it worked out. We ate yummy food all weekend, took lots of rides, watched people race at the hill and the kids drove the golf carts all over the place. We did fire works, played games, and even lit these really good floating lanterns. The kids had a great time with the Stevens, Davis's, B. Bond and family, and D. Bond and family

Christmas Day

We traditionally had the Bond clan over for enchiladas and white elephant exchange Christmas Day Afternoon...."The Duke" picture made its rounds again along with an awesome hygiene package. The kids all love their presents and I am exhausted....until next year Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day morning 2011

r

Kids were up super early. Santa brought all kids of amazing stuff....a family IPAD we must have been very good. The funnest reaction was Hayley...for the past 2 years she has been asking for a sit down razor motor scooter. We finally caved this year and got it. They kids each only got 2 presents from us and both of hers looked like shirt boxes. You could tell she was disappointed, but never said anything (super respectful as usual)...so I encouraged her to open one of hers first. She opened it and inside was the instruction manual to the motor scooter...her reaction was classic she was freaking out. We videoed it on the IPAD. Paige got Justin Bieber perfume, Sadie got a bike. All in all it was a pretty good morning....then off to church!
