For fathers day we went bowling with papa Bob. Now that all the kids are getting a little older we can do fun activities like this. Everyone bowled really well (I did the best of course, but it just didn't show in my score, not sure why?). We think papa might have thrown out his shoulder trying to beat grandma Suzanne but all in all everyone did great. Sadie was crazy...she kept running around and trying to go to the arcade. Happy Father's Day Papa Bob!

Bond Lake Trip 2009
We took a Bond family lake trip to Bartlet Lake this weekend...Dusty and grandma Kriss got a new Malibu boat. We took both boats to the lake, packed a lunch and spent the day having fun! We parked in a cove and let the kids swim and hang out when we made lunch. I think everyone had a great time. Baby Jackson and Tatum had to stay home because it was so hot but all the rest of the kids were there and had so much fun. When Ryan and his brothers and sister were kids they used to go to the lake all the time and grandma Kriss would take them to the Marine and buy them ice creams every trip...so she started that tradition with the grandkids...not sure she knew what she was in for...I think we cleaned the place out. As you can see from the pictures I think Sadie loved hers the best. Thanks grandma Kriss

Summer switch
This summer to keep the kids busy we came up with the summer switch....I take one day a week for 3-4 hours in the afternoon and Sherri (Riley's best friends mom)takes one day. It has worked out great. The kids love getting to do different stuff each weak. We have done scavenger hunts, swimming, bounce u, the rec center, slip and slide, Golfland, movies and lots of other fun things! These pictures are from a week that I took to Golfland...notice there are no pictures of any of the boys or Paige because as soon as we got there they were off having fun and only to be seen when it was time to check in...Sadie had a fun time in the baby area. It is great to have friends and families so close by to do fun things like this! Thanks Sherri!

Molly and Deanna's Birthday dinner
Ye haw....you go girls!
Ocean Blue...yummy
Tonight I headed out to meet 20 of my closes friends for dinner for a couple of the girls birthdays. It is so fun to get away for a couple hours and hang with just the girls. Molly and Deanna are both turning 30. We went to Texas Road House for dinner where both girls got in the saddle and then to Ocean Blue for dessert. I love this group of girls...they are all so fun!

Toliet papering...
Since the kids are still a bit to young to toilet paper I decided to let them do each others rooms...so over the past few weeks they have been waiting for the opportune time to get each other. Hayley was at a friends house so Riley, Jace, Noelle and Paige got her room good...as you can see really good!

Boy Soout Day Camp
Riley and Tanner learning to shoot....side note $2500 fine for the parents of any child who shoots any kind of animal at camp....(glad I was there to remind my kid :0)
The boys making up there cheer....which they yelled periodically all day long.
All the boys on check in...before we got our awsome red piarte shirts.
Riley had day camp for boy scouts this week....Its three days from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day. They ask for each parent to volunteer to go one day....it didn't really sound that appealing...middle of the desert, 100 degree heat, dirt, dust, sack lunch with a bunch of dirty sweaty boys learning how to shoot Beebe guns but boy how wrong I was...IT WAS A BLAST! I went Thursday, it was the first day and WOW so fun...I have a whole new respect for "professional boy scouts" and water balloons. Basically you show up and each den has there own camp...we had 10 boys and we were den 25. You camp consists of a picnic table, awning for shade and a water spicket (water balloons are what camp is all about apparently). When we first got there the boys immediately started filling up water balloons...there were other dens all around us and they were having meetings and talking to their boys....my boys were in the bushes preparing to bomb anyone and everyone. I had no idea of the edicate for this type of situation so I run over and let the other leader know what is about to happen and she starts yelling...."IMMINENT THREAT, IMMINENT THREAT" and her boys scattered and the attack began....water balloons filing everywhere. We learned how to shoot, archery, swimming, knot tying, sports, bow and arrow, arts & crafts, not to mention the chronic water balloon attacks. It was fun to see Riley interact with his friends and to see how fun camp is for all the boys. They have a trading post where the boys can buy things and they had these old school slush puppies icee machines...yummy, I think this might have been the highlight of the day for me!
