Good bye fish!

Fish bowl and accessories for sale!
At the end of the school year last year Paige brought home a note stating if your child was interested in having a fish...they were giving away all the fish from there classroom. So she wanted it and we let her bring it home. I thought for sure it would be dead within a week or two so I put in a glass Easter egg I use around Easter to put candy in. After about a month it was still alive so we bought a fish bowl and some decor for the tank. Shortly after that this fish that we thought was going to die, had babies, two of them. So everything has been fine. We changed the water on Saturday and by Monday the tank looked horrible. It was murky and yellow and smelled so nasty. So we decided to clean it out again to find out that the mom had died. Traumatizing experience for a 7 year old...we had to flush her down the toilet. So we cleaned the tank and the other two fish seemed fine, about 3-4 hours after changing the water the two baby fish were dead too. Not sure why but we never gave any of the fish names.

Paige's comment: Oh great...you killed my fish mom, now what are you going to do?
Riley's comment: We should cook them up and eat them for dinner not flush them down the toilet! Anyone want to vomit right now...I sure do :-)

I killed a few of my fish when I was a school teacher. Try explaining to 30 kids that you cleaned the fish bowl and whoops! I've decided that fish are never a good idea.
